Best Buy has cut the price of Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus to $39.99 from $69.99, a $30 discount. The deal also includes one month of Xbox Game Pass, which the source values at $22.99; the offer’s expiration date and eligibility details were not provided.
Best Buy is offering Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for $39.99, down from its stated regular price of $69.99, and the deal includes one month of Xbox Game Pass. The discount gives shoppers a lower-cost way to add streaming apps and 4K playback to a television with an HDMI port, though the source report does not say when the offer ends.
The deal cuts $30, or about 43%, from the stick’s stated $69.99 price. The Ambient, which reported the offer, values the included month of Xbox Game Pass at $22.99. That figure is the source’s stated value; the report does not provide separate terms for redeeming the subscription or confirm whether every buyer qualifies.
Amazon released the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus in 2025, according to The Ambient. The device connects to a television’s HDMI port and supports 4K streaming, Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It also supports Dolby Atmos audio, although getting those picture and sound formats depends on compatible equipment, content and services.
The stick runs Fire TV software and includes an Alexa Voice Remote, which can control a television’s power and volume as well as search for content. The Ambient lists Wi-Fi 6, a quad-core 1.7GHz processor and access to apps including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Max among its features. Subscription services may require separate paid accounts. The device also supports free, ad-supported apps, and Xbox cloud gaming is available with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a compatible controller.
A Lower-Cost Route to 4K Streaming
At $39.99, the offer makes it less expensive to add a streaming interface to a television that already has an HDMI port than buying a new smart TV. It may also suit viewers whose existing television has streaming apps that are slow, outdated or unavailable. The stick does not upgrade the television’s underlying panel: a buyer needs a compatible 4K display to see 4K resolution, and compatible equipment and programming are needed for HDR and advanced audio formats.
The included Game Pass month adds a potential use beyond films and television, but it should not be treated as permanent access to games. The source says Xbox cloud gaming requires Game Pass Ultimate and a controller; it does not explain whether the included subscription month is Ultimate or specify how the offer is activated. Readers should check the listing’s terms before buying if the gaming benefit is a deciding factor.

What the Fire TV Stick Offers
Streaming sticks connect directly to a television’s HDMI input and use the home internet connection to run apps. They can be a practical option for older TVs that lack current streaming software, but they do not supply internet service or subscription access. The Ambient describes the 4K Plus as a newer generation of Amazon’s 4K streaming hardware, with Wi-Fi 6 support and Alexa voice search.
The report says Alexa search can look for films using details such as an actor, plot description or quote, across supported services. It also describes smart-home functions, including controlling compatible lights and viewing a camera feed picture-in-picture. These functions depend on compatible devices and services; they are not necessary to use the stick for basic streaming.
“The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is now just $39.99, a 43% saving.”

Deal Terms and Compatibility
The source report does not state when the Best Buy offer expires, whether it is limited to particular customers or locations, or what steps are required to claim the Game Pass month. It also does not give the full subscription terms, including what happens after the included month. Buyers should check Best Buy’s current listing for availability, redemption rules and any recurring subscription charges.
“Any TV” has limits: the television needs an available HDMI port, and the source does not establish that every model supports every advertised picture or sound format. Wi-Fi performance will depend on the household’s network and internet service. The reported discount and bundle describe the offer at the time of the report, not a guarantee that the price remains available.
Check the Listing Before Purchase
The next step for shoppers is to confirm the current price and bundle terms on Best Buy’s product page, including stock, any eligibility restrictions and how the Game Pass offer is redeemed. If the TV is intended for 4K or Dolby Vision playback, buyers should also verify that their television and any connected audio equipment support the formats they want to use.
No end date or later price change was included in the source report. The deal’s status may change, so the listed $39.99 price should be treated as time-sensitive rather than guaranteed.
